Zone A of the Stolica protected area includes plots in the cadastral territory of Čierna Lehota. It runs along the boundary of the cadastral territory to Kohút and onward to Stolica. Kohút is 1,409 m high, while Stolica reaches 1,476 m. The 1,409 m-high Kohút dominates the background of the valley and closes off the municipality of Čierna Lehota as well as the entire valley.
The vegetation is also part of the character of this landscape: Carpathian stonecrop, a Carpathian endemic species, grows on Kohút. In the Muránska planina–Stolica protected area, which also includes Čierna Lehota, forests cover about 88% of the area. From Čierna Lehota, a blue-marked trail leads to the two highest peaks of the Slovak Ore Mountains: Stolica at 1,476 m and Kohút at 1,409 m. Another marked Stolica hiking route runs from Muránska Huta via Stolica and the Pomník SNP monument to Čierna Lehota and onward to Slavošovce. The Stolica route follows well-marked hiking trails.
Access to the monument is also integrated into the trail network: The trail to the Pomník SNP leads to Čierna Lehota and joins a blue-marked hiking trail there before the end of the village. The municipality's annual cultural and social events also include an ascent of Stolica.
The Muránska planina–Stolica protected area also includes the cadastral territory of Čierna Lehota. Hiking, cycling, caving, climbing, and hang gliding are listed as recreational activities for this area. The proximity of the Slovak Karst, Slovak Paradise, and Muránska planina national parks creates opportunities for hiking and cycling from Čierna Lehota.
Memorial sites and the Protestant church
The Pomník SNP Čierna Lehota monument stands above Čierna Lehota. It commemorates the victims of the Slovak National Uprising. The village's wartime heritage also includes a memorial room dedicated to the Slovak National Uprising. Together, the two sites give the hiking landscape a historical dimension without requiring nature and local history to be treated separately.
Another cultural destination is the Protestant church of Čierna Lehota. It was built in 1773–1774 as a Toleration Church in the Classicist style. Inside is a wooden Protestant gallery extending along three sides of the nave. The furnishings also include a Classicist altar from the mid-19th century with a painting of Christ giving a blessing.
