Beckov Castle and Access

Beckov Castle stands on a limestone cliff and offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. In 1970, it was declared a national cultural monument. The visit also includes events and interactive elements that complement the tour.

Access for visitors is clearly defined: the castle can only be reached on foot, and motor vehicles are not permitted to enter. The walk from the village square to the ticket office takes about five minutes.

Museum and Sacred Architecture

The Beckov Museum is located in a Renaissance manor house belonging to the Ambrovec family, dating from the mid-17th century. The courtyard contains a permanent exhibition of old carriages and agricultural machinery. This gives you a different perspective on the history of the place than the castle does: the manor house provides the setting, while the exhibits in the courtyard focus attention on historic transport and agriculture.

Another cultural and historical point of interest is the Catholic Church of St. Stephen in Beckov. It is a Gothic cultural and historical monument dating from 1424 and complements the secular evidence represented by the castle and museum with a sacred site.

Nature Trail, Rock Formation and Water Sports

The Historia na dlani nature trail is a self-guided walking and cycling route. It can be used in summer and winter and is accessible all year round. The landscape also has clearly named special features. Beckovské Skalice is located in the cadastral area of the municipality of Beckov, in the Nové Mesto nad Váhom District in the Trenčín Region. The area was designated in 2003 and covers 29.5 ha without a buffer zone. Beckovské hradné bralo is a rock formation up to 50 m high with unusual shapes; its tourist significance is also connected with the castle ruins.
