Bodzianske Lúky: Bird Protection Area and Village Culture

Vince Vermes had it built in 1889 on his own property in Bogyarét; the church was dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary and restored in 1998. Immediately to the right of the entrance stands a wayside shrine. As a result, several independent testimonies to the village’s religious history are concentrated in one manageable location.

Another detail can be found in the cemetery beside the church: a sandstone crucifix stands there with its back to the church. Outside the village centre, there is also a roadside cross in a field near a group of farm buildings.
