Lubela: Cycling and Culture in the Liptov Basin

Lubela, Ľubeľa in Slovak, is located in the southern part of the Liptov Basin. Ľubeľa has two notable village bell towers built in different styles. The masonry bell tower is a simply whitewashed square structure with a wooden upper section and a pyramidal roof. Alongside it is a wooden village bell tower: a vernacular square timber structure with an open upper floor and a pyramidal spire. The village culture also includes the Ľubeľafest amateur theater festival, held every year in July in Ľubeľa.
