Kšinná: Churches, Hiking Trails and Ski Area

Kšinná lies in the southern part of the Strážov Mountains in the valley of the Radiša stream at an elevation of 350 metres. On a hill above Kšinná stands the Church of Sts. Cosmas and Damian. The interior contains a layer of wall paintings dated to the 14th century. The south façade also preserves a monumental depiction of Saint Christopher with the Christ Child. For winter activities, the northeastern slope of Plešivec in Závada pod Čiernym vrchom is relevant. The mountain is listed as being 722.5 metres high; two ski lifts are located there. Ski Park Závada pod Čiernym Vrchom has a large and a small ski lift, with the small lift suitable for children and beginners. In addition, two intermediate downhill runs are designated; their listed length is 1,010 metres. The area therefore offers different documented options ranging from hiking and a lift for first experiences to intermediate downhill runs.
