Vricko: Hiking, Nature and Culture in the Malá Fatra

The historic traces also include three-room log houses from the 19th century. The park commemorating the 20th anniversary of liberation was created in 1965 on the site of the ruins of four houses dating from the Second World War. In the nearby Nitra Valley, a memorial erected in 1962 commemorates three victims executed in 1944. Below Reváň, another memorial commemorates 17 unknown heroes who fell in December 1944. The local cemetery also contains a memorial object for these 17 buried victims, registered as a “mass grave”.
