Viniansky Castle dates from the second half of the 13th century. Its history includes a tower with a triangular ground plan, which was built at Viniansky hrad in the 1260s. From Vinné, you can reach the ruins on foot via a blue-marked hiking trail. At the mountain saddle, this becomes a yellow-marked route leading to the castle. A blue-marked forest path also leads to Viniansky hrad; the ascent takes no longer than one hour. At the top, the ruins offer views over the East Slovak Lowland. The castle is therefore a destination where historical substance and a clearly described hike go hand in hand.

Vinianske jazero: Swimming, Boating and Fishing

Vinianske jazero covers 8 hectares and is up to 3.8 metres deep. The lake is intended for swimming, water sports and fishing. There is a pedal boat and boat rental service on the shore. Around Táborisko, you will also find several motorboat rental services as well as the opportunity to take sightseeing trips. Wine-Growing and Local Culture

Vinné has an almost eight-hundred-year tradition of wine-growing and wine production. This history is brought to life along the ZA VIŇANSKIMA JATKAMI wine-growing educational trail: The route passes dozens of wine-growing buildings partially sunk into the ground, known as Jatki. St. Anne's Church in the upper part of Vinné is a national cultural monument. In addition, the municipal museum and gallery of Vinné are open to the public, particularly for study, gaining knowledge, education and aesthetic experiences. Since 2013, the already traditional Jánske ohne nad Šíravou event has been held at Vinianske jazero.

Protected Landscapes and Further Views

Since 1984, particularly valuable areas around Vinné have been protected in the Vinianska stráň and Viniansky hradný vrch nature reserves. These include rare drought-loving grassland-shrub and forest communities with significant relict vegetation, as well as xerothermic and forest-steppe communities on the southern slopes of the Vihorlatské vrchy. Another striking viewpoint is the ruins of the little church below Senderov. The restored monument offers one of the finest views of Zemplínska šírava and the surrounding landscape of southern Zemplín.
