Istropolitana Projekt, 22-27 June, Bratislava
Istropolitana Projekt is a theater festival, which organizers call a unique event not only for Slovakia, but also for the whole Central Europe. On festival stage will perform student theaters from France, Moldova, Switzerland, Indonesia, Macedonia and other countries. The festival is organized by the Academy of Dramatic Arts.
MangaFest 2012, June 23-24, Bratislava
Festival of Japanese culture MangaFest will be held in the capital of Slovakia for the second time. Among the main festival events are exhibition of famous Japanese manga comics, art discussions, computer games, art workshops, tea ceremonies and more. The festival will be held at the Luki House of Culture.
Competition Pes sympaĆ„ák (The most beautiful dog), June 23, Bratislava
The name of the festival tells about the events that will take place here. The jury will choose the most beautiful dog among hundreds of four-legged contestants, who will arrive in Gorski Park.
Ekofest, 22-23 June, Trnava
Ekofest Environmental Festival in Trnava will be held for the fifth time. One of its goals this year is to help the botanical garden in Trnava. The festival will include eight concerts, as well as various seminars, exhibitions and lectures. The main venue for the festival will be the city amphitheater.
Yní víkend, 22-24 June, Banska Bystrica
One of the best ways to get acquainted with modern Slovak music is go to the festival in the town of Banska Bystrica. Here in Klub 77 and Tirish Pub will play several Slovak bands in various genres from underground to techno.
Rupicapra marathon, June 23, Tatranska Lomnica
On June 23 Tatranska Lomnica, one of the major ski resorts in Slovakia, will host quite a fun race – Rupicapra marathon. It will be steeplechase competition among ski instructors, waiters, police officers and representatives of other professions.
