In Slovakia is planned to build the country's first outlet - a giant shopping retail center, which today can be found in many Western European countries.
Construction of shopping center in Slovakia will be held by companies from Slovakia and Spain. The centre was named One Fashion Outlet. The volume of investments that the company intends to direct for the realization of the project will amount to more than 75 million euros.
The new shopping center will be built in the town of Voderady in western Slovakia, near Trnava. It is expected that the opening of the new outlet will create 350 new jobs in the region.
The total area of the new outlet in Slovakia will be about 220,000 square meters. Over 100 shops, cafes and restaurants is planned to open here. They will be presented on the total area of 36,000 square meters. Another attraction of the outlet promises to be a large children's park with artificial lake.
Interest in Slovakia from Europe's largest retail operators is quite logical. This country demonstrates one of the highest growth rate of investments in the economy. As a consequence, there emerged a large class of consumers willing to buy branded goods at affordable prices in a similar outlet centers like Voderady. Nevertheless, the majority of Slovaks, who were not able to visit their own outlet, were forced to go for shopping in the neighboring Czech Republic and Austria.
The initiators of the project predict 1.5 - 2 million buyers in the first year after opening. They are expected to arrive in One Fashion Outlet not only from Slovakia but also from neighboring Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary.
It is expected that construction of a new shopping center will begin in the first half of 2011.
Presentation of the One Fashion Outlet project in Slovakia is planned later this year at the world famous luxury exhibition Mapic in Cannes from 17 to 19 of November.
