Tále: winter activities, golf and trails for families

The activities in Tále range from skiing and cross-country skiing to golf and family attractions. They include the Ski Tále resort, four cross-country skiing circuits, the Gray Bear golf course, the 9-hole golf academy, the Tále nature trail and the Tarzánia rope park. The nature trail follows the Bystrianka River through the Bystrianska Valley; the Tále reservoir is located by Hotel Partizán in the Low Tatras, in the Bystrá dolina-Tále tourist area.

Skiing and cross-country skiing at Ski Tále

The clearest focus for a winter stay is the Ski Tále resort. It has six ski lifts with a capacity of 4,110 people per hour. This includes 2.77 km of artificially snow-covered ski slopes. During traditional evening skiing, three ski lifts are available: H-100, TLV-A and TLV-C. This specific distinction also makes Ski Tále interesting for travellers who want to plan an evening experience in addition to skiing during the day, without choosing a different ski resort as the focus of their stay.

The winter sports offering also includes four cross-country skiing circuits of varying difficulty. They are groomed at the Tále ski, golf and hotel resort. Those who do not want to be limited to a single level of difficulty when cross-country skiing will find several levels within the same resort area. Tále can therefore be described as a destination for different forms of winter sports, without equating skiing with cross-country skiing.

Golf between the resort and the national park

Outside the winter sports season, Tále also has a clearly recognisable profile. The 18-hole Gray Bear championship golf course is located in the Low Tatras National Park, in the Tále recreation centre. In addition, Tále has a 9-hole golf academy. Beginners can try golf there under the guidance of experienced instructors. This creates a clear distinction for travel planning between an 18-hole course and an offering that explicitly also describes getting started under instruction.

Easy trails, riverside scenery and family experiences

The Tále nature trail in the Bystrianska Valley is an interactive family hiking trail that follows the Bystrianka River. Its features include a dendrophone, forest sounds and wooden footbridges. The nature trail is an easy route and suitable for families with children. Alongside the sports facilities, Tále therefore offers a trail that combines observing nature with playful discovery.

Another family-oriented attraction is the Tarzánia rope park in the Tále recreation centre. Tarzánia offers a 292 m-long red course, a 180 m-long blue course and a children’s course. The named courses therefore differ both in colour and length; there is also a separate children’s course.

Tále reservoir and orientation on site

The Tále reservoir is located by Hotel Partizán in the Low Tatras, in the Bystrá dolina-Tále tourist area. The reservoir area includes a children’s area with numerous swings and climbing frames. From Bystrá dolina, the reservoir can be reached on foot from Hotel Partizán in five minutes. Those who value a combination of waterside scenery, short distances and a family area when choosing where to stay will find a clearly described part of Tále here.
