Among the beautiful mountains in central Slovakia is located Bojnice. It is located at an altitude of 290 meters at the eastern foot of the mountains Little Mahura. This place attracts with its warm, soothing and slightly humid climate.
The first mention of Bojnice is related to 1113 in the King Koloman’s document, which is stored in Zobor Abbey. Further written sources report that from 17 to 20 century, the owner of the resort was the family of Palffy. A new phase in the life of the resort began in the 30's of the 20 th century, thanks to its new owner Jan Bati.

Another important point of the visit is the castle of Bojnice. In the 20 century Bojnice Castle became a museum, which keeps a rich collection of works of art. In the castle church you may be attracted by the Italian Gothic altar of the 14th century. According to a legend, the sarcophagus of the Count Palffy provides poison, the origin of which is unknown, and in the castle itself you may meet ghosts. Another attraction is a wonderful zoo, where the Falconry hunting birds show is held.
In addition, you can go to the Trenchansk Castle, a historic village Chichmany, Kremnice city and located around it the geographical center of Europe, as well as to see "the Slovak Bethlehem" in Rajecke Lesna.
