Low Tatra mountains is a massif in the center of Slovakia, being a part of Fatra-Tatra area. It is one of the most ancient and popular Slovak resorts. Low Tatra Mountains are known, first of all, as a remarkable mounting skiing resort with the longest in Slovakia tracks, 80 km long. The highest point is a mountain Djumber at the bottom of which modern tourist centers settle down.
Speaking about the most visited and favourite mounting skiing resort among tourists is undoubtedly, it is Yasna which is considered to be one of the best in all East Europe. Yasna is located in Demänovská Valley, under the northern slope of the mountain Clap (2024ΠΌ). The resort Yasna consists of three settlements - Zagradok, Yasna and Otstupny which are on the northern slope of the mountain Hopok. Among the lines 57 km of the whole extension everyone will find one to his/her taste.Besides the system of lifts is arranged the way that it is possible to move very conveniently from one to another. The season of driving in Low Tatra mountains lasts from December till March, so there is time to take the whole pleasure in advantages of these places. Hotels in Low Tatra mountains are from 2* up to 4*. The infrastructure also admires : discos, bars, saunas, exercise rooms, pools are destined for an unforgettable rest.
Besides the conquest of snow tops the resort offers various excursion programs. Low Tatra mountains are well-known for the caves, which are nearby 3800 all across Slovakia. And every year there are all new and new traces of the stay of ancient people, and also remains of unknown animals. The most known representative is Demänovská cave of Freedom, the unique natural formation having a special microclimate. The cave is in Demänovská valley on northern slope of Low Tatra Mountains. The entrance aperture settles down at height of 870 m. The internal part of the cave in its singularity surpasses all expectations: it consists of four levels incorporating with each other by flat slopes by steep walls. A grasping show. The exquisiteness is supplemented by the labyrinths of corridors, the arches of stalactites and stalagmites, underground lakes.
Having appeared in Demänovská valley it is necessary to visit a cosy provincial small town Liptovsky Mikuláš that is located only 16 km away. This really fantastic place is on the coast of the cleanest mountain eye Lake Liptovska Mara and is surrounded by the wood. Harmony of these places fills with forces and energy which people living in noisy cities lack so much. It is possible to diversify the dialogue with the nature visiting historical monuments, museums, and also shops trades. Besides Liptovsky Mikuláš is the center of winemaking and various wine brands are numerous here.
2 km from Liptovský Mikuláš there is an aquapark Tatraland, which it is possible to reach on an amusing wheel dinkey. In Tatraland it is possible to have a rest and improve health all the year round, in fact the temperature of thermal waters here is nearby 60C and it appears from the depth of 2500 m. Mineral water renders beneficial influence on the bearing-moving device and respiratory system. Tatraland puts at disposal of holidays-makers 9 thermal pools, plenty of water attractions, a water climbing wall, massage chaise lounges, children's hills.
