We can’t but mention the Danube. In the Danube you can find such fish as salmon Gukho-Gukho which is the biggest in Slovakia. You should have special license to fish Gukho-Gukho because it is a rather rare and uncommon kind of fish. The price for the license can be different according to the terms of fishing and the place of fishing. You can get the license either through the tourist agency or through the administration of the place where you are going to fish if they have got such a department there.
You should remember that in spring and autumn fishing in Slovakia is strictly regulated. It doesn’t concern only some kinds of fish, which can be fished all the year round. What concerns popular trout and eel fishing is limited in many places all the year round or fishing is not allowed from September till November (for eel) and from September till the middle of April (for trout).
