Turcianske Teplice is one of the oldest and famous spa resorts not only in Slovakia, but also throughout Europe. It is located in central Slovakia, between the mountains Velka Fatra, Mala Fatra and Kremnicke mountains in the very beautiful place. At an altitude of 518 meters, 27 kilometers south of Martin and 20 km northwest of Banska Bystrica.

In written sources Turcianske Teplice title refers to the 1281 year. Then this place was known as the Aqua Calida Teplica. In those times many famous people have visited this place: King Zigmund of Luxembourg and King Maximilian Habsburg, the emperor of Mexico. In 1553 the first hotel was already built here.

Rest in Turcianske Teplice is the best suiting place for rehabilitation after various diseases and for simple recreation. This spa resort in Slovakia is the one, which specializes in treating kidney and urinary system. The treatment of the musculoskeletal system is also provided here.

And since 1993 the resort is opened for the children.
