One of the most famous chess players of our time, Garry Kasparov, on October 13-14, 2011 will come to Bratislava to participate in the Big Ideas for CEE conference. The conference will be held in one of the most luxurious hotels in Bratislava - Kempinski Hotel River Park.
At the conference Kasparov will make a report on his visions to the development strategy of the post-socialist society and the development of modern political life in Russia.
Garry Kasparov is now known not only as a chess player, but also as a politician. In Russia he has a reputation of one of the leaders of the opposition forces.
It should be noted that in addition to Kasparov in the conference will take part a number of outstanding EU personalities. Thus, it is expected that its report in Bratislava will also present the former president of the Barcelona football club - Joan Laporta.
During the visit to Bratislava Kasparov will focus not only on the political aspects, but will also hold a simultaneous chess game. The tournament will be held on Friday of 14 October 2011. The beginning of the tournament is scheduled at 18.00. The venue of the Kasparov tournament is another luxury hotel of Bratislava - Crowne Plaza.
In the tournament will be able to take part chess players, who do not have FIDE rating or those, whose rating does not exceed 2250 points. For the participation players should register on the site ChessFriends.com.
The cost of participation in the Kasparov tournament in Bratislava is 100 Euros. All money from the tournament of the legendary player will be donated to the charity.
