The region of the Slovacky Ore Mountains, at the east of the country, is worthy of a special attention. You can find a unique horse breed hear – Guculskaya breed. These horses are the descendants of the tarpens and the distant relations of the american mustangs. They are very restive horses though today they are domestic animals.

There are many tourists in Slovakia, especially in winter. So, many kinds of winter entertainmets are offered, such as riding, driving in a sledge or cart and a very unique one – skijöring. That means you are skiing and holding a running horse rein at the same time.
