Several major concerts will be held in Bratislava this summer. The capital of Slovakia is preparing to host a number of world stars. The biggest concert will be held at the Ondrej Nepela arena, the new indoor stadium built in Slovakia for the Hockey World Cup, which today is one of the main concert venues of the country.
One of the first large-scale summer concerts in Bratislava will be performance of a Spaniard Julio Iglesias. It will be held at the Slovnaft Arena on June 21, 2012. The concert of the legendary singer of romantic ballads and father of another well-known pop star - Enrique Iglesias - will begin at 19.00.
Three days after the "Spanish nightingale" Bratislava will be visited by another legend, this time rock star. On June 24, 2012 Bratislava will host the concert of the Irish band Cranberries. Cranberries’ performance in Bratislava will be held as part of the tour in support of new album, Roses, which was released on February 27, 2012.
Next large-scale concert event in the capital of Slovakia will take place at Ondrej Nepela arena, where will play another legendary old man - Elton John. Elton John will present his best hits in Bratislava on July 10, 2012. The concert will be organized as part of The Greatest Hits Tour, which started in 2011.
It should be noted that not only Bratislava will be the center of attraction for the world famous show business stars. Thus, the small town of Nove Mesto nad Vahom, located 100 km from Bratislava, will host a concert, which in Slovakia was already called "The show of the year". At 20.00 here will begin its concert one of the most famous rock bands of 80-90s - Guns n 'Roses. The show will be organized as part of the Topfest Plus rock festival.
