Trenchanske Teplice is one of the most popular resorts, not only in Slovakia but also throughout Europe. It is situated in the western part of Slovakia, near the town of Trencin, at an altitude of 282 m above the sea level. For the first time resort is mentioned in 1376 in the documents of the Hungarian King Louis the Big. The mild climate is provided by Strazhevsk mountain chain, which protects the spa from the cold northern winds.
