Štrbské Pleso

The most popular high-mountainous resort in High Tatra, located on coast of the same lake. There was it in 1872, and since 1885 is known as a climatic resort and the center of northern and Alpine skiing. Štrbské Pleso is a known place of carrying out of winter kinds of sports competitions . In 1999 within the limits of the Winter University game competitions on biathlon, jumps from a springboard, to a snatch and a snowboard took place here.

As to tracks, the main of them are on a southern solar slope of top Predné-Solisko. Very popular among tourists is a slalom downhill Interski, where there is a ski school for children, having the children's ski lift. Except for this there are all conditions for driving on racing skis, biathlon, jumps from a springboard and mountaneering.

1,5 km from the center of a resort there is well equipped modern ski station. Here it is possible to receive inflow of adrenaline on two springboards for jumps (70 m and 90м), to participate in competitions on tracks for ski races in 5, 10, 15 and 50 km, and also to become the fan. Near the station at a height of 1400-1840 m are made excellent mountain-skiing lines both for beginners, and for professionals. Lines are served by two armchairу, three bond and one children's lift. Also the illuminated line for amateurs of night driving is prepared.

At an enter in Mlynitskaya valley there is a modern sports complex with two ski springboards of downhill racing, a line for a slalom, the stadium, a covered pool and a sauna. There are also lines for tourist ski campaigns, cross-countries, rope-armchairy roads, some lifts, ski schools for beginners and children.
